Cookie Policy

Effective date: 1 August 2026  ·  Last updated: 6 August 2026
Policy Version 1.0  ·  Policy Owner: Book GCC Trip

This Cookie Policy explains how Book GCC Trip uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) when you visit our website or app, what each category of cookie does, how long it is kept, and how you can control it. It applies to every visitor to the Platform, whether or not you hold an account.

This policy works alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains in more detail how we handle personal data generally. Where a cookie collects or is linked to personal data, our Privacy Policy governs that data in addition to this Cookie Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

"Cookie":
a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit, which the site can read back on later visits to recognise your browser or store a preference.
"Session cookie":
a cookie that is deleted automatically when you close your browser.
"Persistent cookie":
a cookie that remains on your device for a set period (or until you delete it) so it can be read on a later visit.
"First-party cookie":
a cookie set directly by Book GCC Trip.
"Third-party cookie":
a cookie set by a service we use to help operate or improve the Platform (for example, an analytics provider), not by Book GCC Trip directly.

We also use similar technologies, such as browser local storage, for some of the same purposes described in this policy. References to "cookies" in this document should be read to include these similar technologies unless the context says otherwise.

2. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Platform to work and cannot be switched off through our cookie-preferences control. They include cookies that maintain your signed-in session, protect against cross-site request forgery and other security risks, preserve a booking you are part-way through as you move between pages, and support basic load-balancing across our servers so pages load reliably.

Because the site cannot function correctly without them, strictly necessary cookies are always active. Declining optional categories described below never disables these cookies.

Persistence

Most strictly necessary cookies are session cookies, cleared when you close your browser. A small number are persistent for a short period (typically a matter of days) so that, for example, a partly completed booking or a signed-in session can survive a brief interruption.

3. Functional Cookies

Functional cookies remember choices you make so we do not have to ask you again on a later visit — for example, a selected display language or currency, where that feature is available, or that you have already dismissed a particular on-site notice.

Functional cookies make your experience more convenient but are not strictly required for the Platform to operate at a basic level. Some functional cookies are treated as part of core site operation and are always active; others, where offered separately through our cookie-preferences control, can be turned off — see Section 6.

Persistence

Functional cookies are typically persistent, lasting from a few weeks up to around a year, so a preference you set is remembered across visits.

4. Analytics and Performance Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Platform — for example, which pages are viewed, how visitors move through the search and booking flow, and where visitors encounter errors or drop off. We use this information in aggregate to find and fix problems and to improve the Platform; it is not used to make decisions about you individually.

Analytics cookies are optional. You can accept or decline them through our cookie-preferences control described in Section 6, and declining them does not affect your ability to search, book, or manage your account.

Persistence

Analytics cookies are typically persistent for a period of weeks to a few months, after which they expire and, if you continue to consent, are set again.

5. Advertising and Marketing Cookies

Where enabled, marketing cookies support relevant advertising and help us understand which marketing activity led to a visit or a booking, so we can make our marketing more relevant and avoid showing you the same advertisement repeatedly. We do not use marketing cookies to build a profile of a child, and we do not knowingly direct advertising cookies at children — see our Children's Privacy Policy.

Marketing cookies are optional and off by default until you actively consent to them through our cookie-preferences control. We describe this category generally rather than naming a specific advertising platform, because which marketing tools are active can change over time; the current setting for your browser is always visible in the cookie-preferences control itself.

Persistence

Marketing cookies, where used, are typically persistent for a period of weeks to a few months.

6. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on the Platform are set directly by Book GCC Trip (first-party). Others are set by service providers who help us run parts of the Platform, such as analytics or security tooling (third-party). A third-party cookie is governed by that provider's own privacy and cookie practices in addition to this policy for the purpose for which we use it.

7. How to Control Cookies

You can control non-essential cookies in two independent ways.

  • Through our own cookie-preferences control — a preferences panel accessible from the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page, which lets you accept, reject, or customise Analytics and Marketing cookies (Essential cookies cannot be disabled). See our Cookie Preferences page for full detail.
  • Through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies generally, or block cookies from specific sites, independently of any in-site control. Because this is a browser-level setting, it applies across every website you visit, not only Book GCC Trip, and it is managed entirely by your browser rather than by us.

These two controls are independent: changing a setting in one does not automatically change the other, and clearing your browser's cookies will remove the record of your Book GCC Trip preference, which means you may be asked to choose again on your next visit.

8. What Happens If You Disable Non-Essential Cookies

Disabling analytics or marketing cookies does not prevent you from browsing, searching, or completing a booking on Book GCC Trip — every core function of the Platform is delivered by strictly necessary cookies, which remain active regardless of your choice. Declining functional cookies where they are separately offered simply means we cannot remember certain convenience preferences (such as a selected currency) between visits, and you may be asked to set them again.

Blocking cookies entirely at the browser level, including strictly necessary cookies, can prevent parts of the Platform — such as staying signed in or completing checkout — from working correctly, because the browser will not retain the information those pages depend on.

9. Relationship to Our Privacy Policy

Where information collected through cookies is personal data (for example, because it is linked to your account), our Privacy Policy governs how we collect, use, protect, and retain that data, in addition to the cookie-specific detail in this policy. See our Privacy Policy for our lawful bases for processing, your data-subject rights, and how to exercise them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and technologies we use, or in applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes to the categories of cookies we use may also be reflected by a change to the cookie-preferences control, which can prompt you to make a fresh choice.
