This Acceptable Use Policy sets out how you may, and may not, use Book GCC Trip. It applies to every visitor to our website and app, every account holder, and anyone who interacts with our platform, including through the Book GCC Trip Assistant. It exists so that bookings, pricing, and account data stay trustworthy — for genuine guests, for the hotels we work with, and for us.
This policy is the fuller version of Section 28 (User Restrictions) of our Terms and Conditions. Where this policy goes into more detail than the Terms, this policy applies alongside the Terms; it does not replace them. Breaching this policy is also a breach of our Terms.
You may not make, attempt to make, or knowingly assist another person in making a booking using stolen or unauthorised payment details, falsified guest or identity information, or with the intent to obtain accommodation without paying for it. This includes using a payment method you are not authorised to use, and providing guest names or occupancy details you know to be false in order to secure a rate or room you would not otherwise qualify for.
A booking found to be fraudulent may be cancelled without refund, regardless of any cancellation status shown on the booking. We may report suspected fraud to our payment service provider(s), the affected hotel, and, where appropriate, law enforcement or other relevant authorities.
You may not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any other automated tool to extract hotel listings, pricing, availability, images, or any other data from the platform without our prior written permission. This applies regardless of the technique used and regardless of whether the data extracted is publicly viewable on a page.
Automated access that places abnormal load on the platform, that is used to build a competing dataset or a competing booking service, or that circumvents rate limits or access controls, is prohibited even where the individual requests would otherwise be permitted.
You may not interfere with the normal operation of the platform, including by sending an excessive or abnormal volume of automated requests, attempting a denial-of-service-style attack, introducing malicious code, or engaging in any conduct designed to degrade platform performance or availability for other users.
You may not impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person, hotel, or organisation, when using the platform. Your account login is for your own use — you may not access another guest’s account without authorisation, and may not share your credentials to help someone else evade a restriction placed on their own account.
You may not create multiple accounts to evade a suspension, restriction, or fraud-prevention hold placed on an existing account, or to repeatedly claim a promotional offer intended for one-time use per guest.
You may not use the platform for money laundering or any activity intended to disguise the true origin, ownership, or purpose of funds used to pay for a booking. Our AML Policy explains our approach to anti-money-laundering obligations in more detail.
You may not use the platform in violation of applicable trade or financial sanctions. Our Sanctions Policy explains our approach to applicable trade and financial sanctions in more detail.
You may not otherwise use the platform for any purpose that is unlawful in the UAE or in the jurisdiction from which you are booking, including booking accommodation in connection with any illegal activity.
If a feature of the platform allows you to submit content — for example, a review, rating, or written feedback about a stay — that content must be genuine, based on your own experience, and must not be false, defamatory, or infringe another person’s intellectual property or other rights. We may remove or decline to publish a submission that we reasonably believe breaches this policy. See our Intellectual Property Policy for how ownership of submitted content is handled where this feature is available to you.
Where we reasonably believe an account or booking is connected to conduct prohibited by this policy, we may suspend or terminate the account, cancel the affected booking, decline to process a refund that would otherwise apply, and take any other lawful action reasonably necessary to protect the platform, other guests, or our hotel partners.
For serious violations — including fraud, security circumvention, or unlawful activity — we are not obliged to give advance notice before taking action, and may act immediately to prevent harm or further loss. Where a less serious matter is involved, we will generally try to give you an opportunity to explain before taking action, but this is not guaranteed in every case.
Where the law requires, or where we consider it appropriate, we may refer suspected serious violations of this policy to the relevant authorities.
If you become aware of conduct on the platform that you believe breaches this policy — including suspected fraud, scraping, account compromise, or misuse by another user — please report it to support@bookgcctrip.com with as much detail as you can provide. We take reports seriously and will review them, though we may not always be able to share the outcome of an investigation involving another user’s account.
