This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Statement explains, in general terms, Book GCC Trip's approach to helping prevent money laundering and terrorist financing on the platform. It is a public summary of our general position, not our complete internal AML programme — many programme details, such as specific detection thresholds and escalation procedures, are appropriately kept internal and confidential, consistent with standard industry practice, and are not published here.
It works alongside our Payment Policy, our Sanctions Compliance Statement, and Sections 22–23 of our Terms and Conditions (Group and Suspicious Bookings, and Fraud Prevention).
Book GCC Trip is an online hotel booking platform that connects guests with hotels and helps them complete a reservation. We are not a bank, a money-services business, or a licensed financial institution, and we do not hold, transfer, or exchange funds on our own account outside the ordinary course of processing a hotel booking payment.
Payments made through Book GCC Trip are handled by an authorised, regulated payment service provider, selected for the transaction. That provider performs its own anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer checks as part of standard, regulated payment processing — this is that provider's regulatory obligation, not a function we perform ourselves. See our Payment Policy for how payment collection works.
Within our own systems, we monitor for booking and payment patterns that appear suspicious, abusive, or inconsistent with genuine travel bookings — for example, unusually large or rapid group bookings made through our standard individual-guest checkout. See Sections 22–23 of our Terms and Conditions (Group and Suspicious Bookings, and Fraud Prevention) for how this works alongside our fraud-prevention checks. Where we have a good-faith basis for concern, we may decline, hold, or cancel a booking pending further review.
We do not accept cash, cheque, bank transfer, or other unregulated payment methods for online bookings made through the platform. All online payment is made through the checkout flow and an authorised, regulated payment service provider.
Where required by applicable law, suspicious activity identified on our platform, or reported to us by our payment service provider, may be reported to the relevant UAE authorities.
We cooperate with lawful requests from competent regulators and law enforcement authorities in connection with anti-money-laundering matters, to the extent required by applicable law.
This statement is a general public disclosure of our approach, not a substitute for a complete internal AML policy or compliance manual. Details such as specific monitoring thresholds, escalation workflows, and internal reporting lines are appropriately kept confidential, in line with standard practice for compliance programmes generally, and are not made public in this document.
