Sanctions Compliance Statement

Effective date: 1 August 2026  ·  Last updated: 6 August 2026
Policy Version 1.0  ·  Policy Owner: Book GCC Trip

This Sanctions Compliance Statement explains, in general terms, Book GCC Trip's commitment to complying with applicable sanctions laws and regimes, and what that means in practice for how we operate the booking platform. It is a public summary of our general position, not a complete internal compliance manual.

It works alongside our Anti-Money Laundering Statement and Payment Policy, which describe related aspects of how we and our payment service provider(s) handle payment and monitoring.

1. Definitions

"Applicable Sanctions":
sanctions, restrictive measures, and prohibited-party lists imposed under United Arab Emirates law, and relevant United Nations Security Council sanctions resolutions as implemented in the UAE, together with any other sanctions regime that applies to a given transaction by operation of law.

2. Our Commitment

Book GCC Trip does not knowingly provide booking services to individuals or entities, or in connection with a transaction, that would violate applicable sanctions. This is a compliance commitment we hold ourselves to as an online hotel booking platform — it is not a claim that we operate as a licensed financial compliance authority or sanctions-screening provider.

3. Sanctions Regimes We Aim to Comply With

We aim to comply with applicable UAE sanctions law and relevant United Nations Security Council sanctions as implemented in the UAE, and with any other sanctions regime that applies to us or to a given transaction by operation of law. We describe this generally rather than naming a specific third-party sanctions-screening tool, since screening capability can be provided at different points in the payment chain and is not something a public legal document should assert with technical specificity.

4. Role of Our Payment Service Provider(s)

Payments made through Book GCC Trip are processed by an authorised payment service provider, whose own regulatory obligations include sanctions and watchlist screening as part of standard, regulated payment processing. See our Payment Policy for how payment collection works. Our own practices, described below, operate alongside, not instead of, those provider-level controls.

5. Our Own Review

Within our own systems, we take reasonable steps to identify and act on information indicating that a booking may involve a sanctioned party or a prohibited transaction. Where we have a good-faith basis to believe a booking would breach applicable sanctions, we may decline, delay, or cancel that booking, including after it has otherwise been confirmed, and we are not liable for a cancellation made on that good-faith basis.

6. Cooperation With Authorities

We cooperate with lawful requests from competent regulators and law enforcement bodies in connection with sanctions matters, to the extent required by applicable law.

7. Raising a Compliance Concern

If you have a sanctions-related compliance concern about a booking or about Book GCC Trip generally, contact us at support@bookgcctrip.com. We route sanctions and compliance concerns to appropriate internal review; we may not be able to disclose the outcome of that review where doing so would itself raise a legal or confidentiality concern.

8. Changes to This Statement

We may update this statement from time to time to reflect changes in applicable sanctions law or our own compliance practices. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
